Projects
Active Bodies Project
Funded by First 5 Napa County, this project teaches child care professionals how to create an environment that encourages active movement and healthy eating along with talking to parents about incorporating children's healthy behaviors at home. The Active Bodies Project Manager utilizes active movement materials from CRC's Toy Library and Early Learning Center, demonstrates their use and then leaves them on loan for center staff to use with the children.

Caring for All Children Project
Funded by local grants, this project provides support and assistance to families seeking child care for their children with special needs. The Caring for All Children Project Manager works with parents of children with special needs to assist them in finding the best child care options and resources to support their child's individual development. Consultation, training and support is also given to child care providers who are caring for children with special needs. If a problem or delay is suspected, developmental screening may be arranged for a child at the child care site with the permission of the parent. If indicated, staff will refer parents to appropriate resources in the community for further consultation.
