Community Connections to Early Learning Activities is a program that introduces children to new experiences and activities that stimulate the senses to help support brain development. There is no need to sign-up and the activities are free of charge.
During Community Connections to Early Learning, we encourage parents/caregivers and children to participate in the hands-on interactive experiences focused on the theme of the week. These experiences are designed to provide parents and caregivers with ideas to support children’s pre-literacy, problem-solving, social & emotional, fine and gross motor skill development at home and in the community.
Community organizations and individuals were invited to share their expertise, interests, and talents in literacy, science, math, art, music, dance, exercise, and health. This interaction with real people doing real things creates authentic and enriching learning experiences for children.
