Institutional Partnerships for Napa’s Providers
Posted on 04/20/2016
Friday, May 6th is Provider Appreciation Day. It is a day that we recognize child care providers and teachers of young children for their daily dedication to children. At Community Resources for Children, we see this dedication often. One example is the ongoing professional development on best practices in the field of Early Learning. We empower providers by partnering with UC Davis Extension to host professional development opportunities. Just last month, there were 6 child care professionals building their skills. There are several CRC-led partnerships similar to this with institutions like Napa Valley College and Solano Community College.
Whether it is learning a tool to set up the ideal learning environment or strategies that support children’s social emotional development, providers go the extra mile for the benefit of young children. Many educators work with children full time and still find opportunities to attend classes, workshops and trainings, which are often at night during the week or on the weekends. We appreciate all providers and educators for their hard work and dedication to the children of Napa County.
