This is the 8-hour course that is required by Community Care Licensing in order to become a licensed family child care provider. The course includes:

  • Recognition, management & prevention of infectious disease
  • Sanitary Food Handling
  • Child Nutrition
  • Identification and reporting of signs and symptoms of child abuse
  • Immunizations
  • Prevention of childhood injuries
  • Emergency preparedness & evacuation
  • Caring for children with special needs

***This is a two-part training. You must also attend part two on March 30th to receive your certificate.

There is a $10 fee and providers should register using this link.

Community Literacy Day – Puppet Show and Book Swap @ Community Resources for Children

The marionette style show, Puppy Locks and The Three Bears will be presented in English and Spanish and is suitable for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Parents/caregivers must stay with children during the show. After the show please visit the Toy Library and Early Learning Center for our Children’s Book Swap.

El espectáculo de marionetas, Puppylocks y Los Tres Osos, se presentarán en inglés y español y es adecuado para niños de 3 a 5 años. Los padres/cuidadores deberán permanecer con sus niños en todo momento. Después del espectáculo, visite la Biblioteca de Juguetes y Centro de Aprendizaje Temprano para el Intercambio de libros infantiles
