Fifth Graders from Bel Aire Park Magnet School Collect Books for CRC Families

A group of children are learning together in a kindergarten classroom, seated around a table with furniture and human faces visible.

Thank you 5th graders from Bel Aire Park Magnet IB World School for collecting books for children and for learning and educating others about the importance of literacy in preparing children for school and a lifetime of learning. Today, the five 5th graders participating in the Exhibition Service Project for Poverty/Early Literacy walked over to the Toy Library to deliver books in homemade textile bags to some of our Active Minds families. We were really impressed by these youngsters and their interest in learning and sharing about the importance or reading to young children.  The books they donated were presented to the children in our Active Minds program in beautiful homemade textile bags.
