Community Resources for Children (CRC) is a nonprofit, community-based organization providing resources for the early care and education of children throughout Napa County. Established in 1978, we serve hundreds of young children and their families each year through our programs. We invite you to take a tour of our website to find out more about the important work we do.

Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Active Minds, Community Resources for Children’s early learning program, has just received a $2,000 grant from the Freed Family Fund, a Donor Advised Fund of the Napa Valley Community Foundation! Active Minds provides a preschool experience for children who have not had an opportunity to attend preschool.

Children and parents attend the Active Minds program together. The classes focus on social skills, language development, and literacy. Parents actively engage with their children in the class and receive information during the Parent Education component about childhood development and ways to support early learning at home. Community Resources for Children has offered Active Minds classes in American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa and St. Helena.

On behalf of the parents, children, and staff who participate in the Active Minds program, Community Resources for Children thanks the Freed Family Fund and the Napa Valley Community Foundation for a gift that will keep on giving. Happy children and “active minds” create bright futures!
